This image is actually inspired by a well-known motif from classical art and mythology called "Roman Charity" — and yes, it’s based on real recorded legends and historical interpretations of justice and human kindness.
The tale often depicts a woman secretly breastfeeding her elderly father, who’s been sentenced to death by starvation. She’s allowed to visit him, but not to bring food — so, in a wild, brave act of maternal love, she nurses him from her own body, as she has a baby of her own.
