One of my favorite universes to explore is the Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire one. The concept of the Valyrians and how they're represented has always caught my attention that I'm always finding more questions to ask about.

The question of "What If" haunts me quite a lot when creating OC's for this universe. With this one, Aemon, I have always wondered "What if Jon had a twin brother who looks more Valyrian?" or even "What if Daemon had a son with Rhea Royce in their 18 years of marriage before she died?"

It questions like this that brought Aemon to life. At first, I thought of naming him Jaehaerys, but after what happened during the Dance and Aerys' father, I decided not to.

Naming him after the humble, dutiful, and wise Maester Aemon is a much more appealing option. For which, I'm glad I did 😃.
