His Eye Is on the Sparrow - Author: Civilla D. Martin (1905)
...
I sing because I’m happy—
I sing because I’m free—
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.
“Let not your heart be troubled.”
His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness,
I lose my doubt and fear.
Though by the path He leadeth,
But one step I may see:
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me;
Matthew 6:24-34 [NIV]
Do Not Worry
26 Look at the birds of the air ...
28 “... See how the flowers of the field grow. ...
33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
