_A cold gust of wind_ ripped through the shore, snatching the kite from Maya's grasp. Colorful laced kite, once vibrant against the twilight sky, became a blur as it danced on the wind just like a tethered heart struggling to break free.

Tears welled in Maya's eyes, mirroring the sudden downpour. But these weren't tears of frustration. She watched the kite soared higher, guided by the wind. A strange of realization washed over her. Finn's words, his hesitant smiles during the balloon ride, weren't just friendly banter. They were whispers of a longing that mirrored her own, but careful enough to not break their friendship.

The kite, a symbol of childhood dreams, now symbolized a newfound wish. She hoped that she wasn't wrong. Then, just like the kite flying freely, both of them can open up to one another and unlocked a deeper relationship.
