Ashildr remained motionless for several minutes. Here she was, standing shivering somewhere in space and time. Caten was gone, Clara was gone, the TARDIS was silent.

She did not know where she was. 

She did not know... _when_ she was.

The ruin in front of her rather looked like the manor that Clara had intended to search for the dog. But it looked so... old. Not our-family-has-been-living-here-for-the-past-ten-generations-when-uncle-Edward-had-returned-from-the-crusades-old but... _old-old_. It looked like nobody had touched feet on these grounds for two hundred years. The stones were dark, all windows broken and the air smelled of... soot. Like the  long-extinguished fire from a forgotten fireplace.

Around the area, instead of the ornate iron fence a wall of turqoise neon light had been erected, keeping out nosy treasure hunters and other marauders.

_Well, better get changed into something warmer and maybe something to deal with this incessant neon glow._

Ashildr marched off towards the fence. Its neon glow, destined to keep everyone and everything out, only served as a welcoming sign for Ashildr's instinct for survival. The closer she got to the barrier, the stronger the tingling in her guts became. As soon as she reached the fence, the tingling became almost unbearable. Did she secretly begin to... enjoy this?

When she touched the fence with her fingertips, an eletric shock zapped her and caused her to stumble backwards. Nope, no enjoyment here. Just high voltage, adamantly telling her to stay out if she so pleases.

Clueless as how to overcome this obstacle, she suddenly she remembered that one time she had been incarcerated in the Tower for trying to steal the crown jewels. Hah, good times. Well, not so good while she hungered and nearly froze to death inside the stone walls, but oh my, what a rush to finally find the hole in their walls and to escape!

Yes! That's it! There's always a hole in every wall, tiny as it might be.
