Overlaying, in simple words, is like putting a thin sheet of milky glass on top of your picture. 🌫️ It softens what is beneath, yet adds a new texture and tone of its own. In this case, the translucent wavy distortion acts like heat shimmering in the air, with serpentine thermal patterns rising and giving the whole scene a sense of breathing atmosphere. 🌊🔥✨
