The Naga Saga - Strikes and Foul Balls

I've been trying to get Dall-E to help me illustrate a story a friend wrote decades ago about a hiker's seduction by a Naga. A Naga, for those who don't know, is the serpent equivalent of a Centaur, except instead of being half horse, it's half serpent, and they can shapeshift between the two "end forms." (So, as you can imagine, he enchants in the form of a strikingly handsome man...)

This isn't an evolution per se; this is some of the best near misses from what were literally hundreds of attempts to create an illustration for my mental image, mid-story, at the point where the victim does not yet realize that his seducer is transforming, or is so whelmed as to be indifferent.
