MEETING OF THE DESERT CLAN (polyphonic prose story)

They get together every so often. Climb up from below and out from their coffins. The desolate desert claimed so many. Few ever survive, if there are any. Even those big headed aliens, who crashed so long ago, float above the others, without any torso. Once each year they have a mass meeting. It's standing room only, there's never any seating. No one knows how it all began, this meeting of the dead desert clan.
