Adyma watched with a smirk as Griston Gorn hurriedly departed from Kriezeberg with his mercenary force.
He did not know why Gorn fled without the minotaur he'd been bellowing for, but he sensed an opportunity, a fire could cover his purposes in the city and be blamed on the invaders.
He summoned his will, power augmented by his training under Phanavaom, and blazes began to spring up around the city.
Making his way to the Numinarium, the old academy of wizards, he seized on the panic to skirt the defenses and retrieve the Tome of Ectherion, which was rumored to hold ancient knowledge, lost to time.
Acquiring the book, an instinct told him to follow Gorn, see where he was hurrying off to.
