Containment Procedures:

SCP-LEAF-004 must be contained in a hermetically sealed, climate-controlled biohazard chamber with a radius of no less than 30 meters.

The chamber must maintain a constant temperature of 0°C to slow the entity's decay-inducing effects.

All entry into the containment area requires full biohazard protection and a minimum clearance level of 4.

A rotation of powerful chemical fumigants is to be introduced into the chamber every 48 hours to neutralize SCP-LEAF-004's spores and prevent containment breaches.

SCP-LEAF-004 must be monitored via non-organic sensors to detect any changes in its growth or behavior.

When in the vicinity of organic life, SCP-LEAF-004 will actively accelerate the process of death and decay in any nearby plant or animal, reducing healthy organisms to compost within minutes. Trees and plants wilt, animals suffer rapid organ failure, and all organic materials rot at an alarming rate. Human subjects within its range experience necrosis, beginning in extremities and spreading inward.

SCP-LEAF-004 appears to feed on the energy produced by decomposition, growing stronger the more death it causes. It has been observed releasing spore-like particles that infect and decay any plant life they touch, spreading the entity's influence even further.
