Captain's log day 150: Sgt Morthen, Lt Tea and myself went out west to explore the local groves spotted earlier this week by Leaves. As Tea indicated that the flora appeared to be hostile, we put on combat armour. Arriving at the local spot, it seemed that the flytrap had already withered to nothing, the head snapped off clean. Disappointed, we turned around, only to be faced by what can only be described as a giant scarlet monstrosity. This beast, looking like a mixture between an octopus and a spider, screeched loudly as it slapped a tentacle against a nearby tree. As a result, a giant nut fell down behind the critter. Temporarily distracted, Sgt Morthen yelled to get on and go. We jumped in the jeeps and sped of. At least Leaves did in hers. The beast had wrapped it's tentacle around our rear bumper! Luckily I carried a flash grenade, which, upon impact, scared the creature off and we chased down after Leaves. End of Captain's log.
P.s. seems that the new vehicles hold their own.
