I am so sorry that your baby is going through that, but the images are excellent. Many years ago my son seemed to get some relief from night terrors by incorporating what I later learned was "lucid dreaming" techniques (we developed our routine organically). It's easy. Requires no drugs, and became a fun part of the bed time routine. Basically, after they were tucked into bed we planned what they were going to dream about and we'd include the fact that in dreams they have any super power that they need. So, if you have an idea about the nature of the monsters that are troubling them, without mentioning the monsters, you can tailor the super powers to their needs: they can fly away, then can become invisible and just walk to a happy spot, they can swim faster than the fastest boat, they can pull out their magic wand and transform any creature into a friendly pet. You get the idea. If you decide to try it, be sure to plan happy into their dreams!
