The idea of someone else touching this last link to her parents was quite unsettling. But Tiga’s gentle understanding compassion and the possibility that the glow might be more than just a figment of her grief offered a sliver of hope.*

*"You… you won't break it?" Pippy asked, her voice softly small and uncertain.*

*"Never," Tiga reassured her, her facial expression showing her sincerity. "We understand its value to you. We simply want to understand it better. Perhaps it holds more secrets than we realize."

With a deep breath, Pippy slowly extended her hand, placing the necklace in Tiga’s care. A fragile hope flickered within her, a tiny spark in the darkness of her recent past. Maybe, just maybe, this small piece of metal held more than just memories.*

Pippy hesitated, her ears twitching. "Sometimes," she admitted, her gaze dropping to the necklace. "Not often. Only… when I was in my safe place."
"Your safe place?" Tiga prompted gently.*
