I've heard a lot of vets grousing about the early AIM-9s. The Sparrows too, for that matter. 
Anyway, very good pic. Every considered doing an F-4 vs a MiG-17?

Yes, the early Sidewinders did often go ballistic, but as pilots eventually learned more about the ideal shot profile, it happened a lot less. 

Haven't done a Phantom vs. a MiG-17 yet, but I have done this one of a MiG-21 and a Phantom at the merge. The MiG's wings aren't right, but at least the Phantom had some missiles visible on it this time.

I've been trying to make an OV-10D, but no matter what engine I use, the crap the AI spits out looks nothing even remotely like a Bronco. One pic looked kind of like an OV-1 Mohawk, but the rest look like Herman Goering's fever dreams 🤪🤪🤪. Any ideas?
