Zoe had sat down on the edge and stuck her feet in as she watched Emily play around in the hot tub. She was wading in her boots and jeans, not really concerned with how wet she was getting. She had managed to keep her sweater and jacket dry for the most part as she waded but now was climbing out next to her on the narrow wall between the pool and the hot tub. As she approached where Zoe sat, she announced she was jumping in the pool before she got back in the hot tub. Zoe watched as Emily went over to the ladder and playfully climbed down, finally jumping off the last rung to tread water in the deep end of the pool. When Emily came back to the hot tub, she asked Zoe if she was getting in too. Zoe finally gave in and slid off the edge to join her. She had never swam in her clothes and a coat before, but was willing to try something new. The only question now was how would they explain this when they finally met up with the others.
