After all, Google images is full of highland cows erroneously labelled as yak.
Pretty hairdo with some kanzashi and a colourful kimono?
Heck, must be a geisha!
After all, NC is full of images of everyone wearing some sort of kimono being labelled as geisha. So it must be true....
Objective reality doesn't exist in AI data sets and their results. AI is full of mistakes. Compounding them by mislabelling, tagging, publishing etc more and more images of "geisha" without knowing what objectively, a geisha looks like (and what maiko are) is problematic ignorance of Japanese culture.
Nothing will stop anyone constantly creating these "pretty exotic women" endlessly. But some seem to encourage it more than others.
How would you all feel if your own country's culture was constantly distorted for basically, entertainment?
Bit depressing isn't it? Frustrating. Laughable. Ironic. Unkind. Annoying.

And I certainly hear you about the mislabeling depiction of a country's fashion and culture. For example, not every male German owns a pair of "Lederhosen", far from that.
While I do have leather trousers come on these are meant for motorcycling, a little bit different in style and purpose.
