Entranced by Potent Gaklektean Wine

Y’all already know that Gaklektean Wine is illegal for a reason, right? 😂

The lizardpeople of Gaklekk have hyperactive dehydrogenase enzymes in their third liver, so alcohol alone won’t do very much for them. They therefor spice the wine with the psychoactive Plaappfruit that grows on anemone-trees all across Gaklekk in the temperate season. This gives the reptilians a mild soporific buzz, but less robust sophonts will be positively entranced by the spiked wine and may well spend days to weeks staring off into empty space, irises gone pink with the highly colorful compound responsible for the altered state! It is of the utmost importance that family and friends remember to feed any such sophonts in a plaaphine-induced trance at least twice a day until they recover, or else their health and safety may be at risk!
