I was drawing inspiration from the first Beetlejuice movie. My husband and I showed it to our kids because we'd like to take them to see the sequel. I'm such a big Tim Burton fan, so I'm trying to pass it along to my kids. Anyway, the movie's a comedy, but really Lydia does lead a sad life, until she meets the ghosts who live in her new home. So I'd like to think there will be a hopeful escape for the girl in my creation, too. Maybe she is the daughter of Lydia who is in the sequel movie.
