Building:
It was an ocean liner built in 1932 by the white starline, it was only meant to carry 1400 people with the most luxurious cabins ever seen by 1st, 2nd, or 3rd class passengers. It had 3 layers of solid steel, and 2 engines in opposite directions, and 3 boiler rooms each for one boiler, a max speed of 23 knots, and only 24 lifeboats
Sinking:
Collided with two tugboats and breached 8/13 watertight compartments, it only lowered one of its lifeboats(A cutter class, bascically has a roof and sails. With 34/100 possible people on it, then picked up the remaining 54 survivors after it went down. in the -23C (-9.4F) and 8 of which died later to freezing temperatures, 4th officer, Smith C. john and 2 others were incharge of the lifeboat.
