They say that a boat is like your wife, a faithful companion through the years. They also say the ocean is your mistress, a wild and unpredictable lover.
One knows that one should never let their wife meet their mistress, and last night that event happened.
I was tossed out of bed by the stormy waves, and the boat was battered by the wind and rain.
But as I clung to the railing, I felt a surge of love for both of them. The boat that carried me across the seas, and the ocean that challenged me to explore.
They were both part of my life, and I could not choose between them. Very much like life, eh?
