I would have shown Spock. But in those test screenings, depending on the lighting, he looked blackface. Reason is: Originally, Vulcans, like the name suggests, had deep red skin color. They wanted to topsy-turvy expectations of good and evil with a "satanic" look for benign charactrs. But the network didn't like the idea. (They were less concerned with questionable make-up, as the dark southeast Asian style make-up for the early Klingons show.)

Oh, and in line of my early deleted scenes series that is sometimes made up: All of this is true.

But the creation isn't done for this challenge: It's a previously unpublished blooper of the first Star Trek image I created on my first day on NC, and AI made it black and white of their own volition.
