PARODY: The Greek mythological Titan Chronos devouring his child... reimagined with cats!

"Fearing a prophecy foretold by Gaea that predicted he would be overthrown by one of his children, Chronos ate each one upon their birth...

Most famously seen in the painting by Goya of Saturn eating his Son - Saturn being the Roman incarnation of Chronos, the father of time.

As it turns out, of course, he is overthrown by his own son, Zeus, who becomes the ruler of the Gods.
