The Teuz (sometimes spelled Teuz-ar-pouliet or Teuz-ar-hoat) are small forest-dwelling fey from Breton folklore, comparable in some ways to brownies or kobolds but distinctively Celtic in character.
They are said to be no taller than a child’s knee, with gnarled limbs, moss-green skin, and sharp, beady eyes that gleam like wet stones in the moonlight. Their hair grows in thick, wiry tufts, often tangled with leaves or feathers. Though they wear no conventional clothing, their bodies are sometimes described as being partially wrapped in bark or cloaked in woven spider silk.
