182/ The Search Continues

They quickly slipped across the back porch and dodged against a dark wall. In the distance, the neon search lights of the Eyes were looking for intruders.

While Anubis busied himself with their patrol routes, assessing how to best slip through the main doors unnoticed, Ashildr found a small, unobtrusive door, most likely the servant's entrance. In her experience, in country houses like this it was the servants who got to know everything first. This would mean there would have to be concealed doors, hidden corridors and access to nearly every room without being seen.

Over here! she hissed and quickly entered a small room. This must have been the boot room, she mused. Some very old, very torn remains of something that vaguely looked like leather boots were rotting in a corner, surrounded by even older busts that looked very... Egyptian. They looked oddly out-of-place in the servant's quarters.
