Morwen clutched a crystal snowball inside the pumpkin prison. It brought back a memory, her tearful return from that one portal.
The kingdom mourned Eldra, the prodigy and the heir. But behind closed doors, the public opinion swayed. Morwen, the supposed bringer of light, had returned alone. The citizens saw not a survivor, but a carrier of misfortune – a shadow of the sister who had died protecting her.
The queen's grief morphed into disappointment. Later it turned into a accusations as why it didn't happen the other way around.
Driven by a potent mix of grief and the suffocating weight of blame, Morwen fled. She lived far from the castle and sought solace in dark magic pulsed with a twisted echo of the shadows that took her sister's life.
