Sgt. Nameless is a primary protagonist in my science-fantasy superhero novel, "ONE OF D-GIRLS." She's recovering from imperfect, retrograde amnesia. She remembers most skills, language, and a few other bits and pieces.
By nature, she's extremely introverted. However, she finds herself the leader / mother figure to a group of young, symbiotic, super-predators who refer to her as a cow -- partly because they're being bratty.
And partly because they're, um, girls??
Things normalize ... sort of ... until it's revealed that 1 disturbed super-predator has been protecting woman #2: Melantha Ryoko. This causes upheaval in the fragile society that Sgt. Nameless and the "girls" have established. [As in over 100 "girls," but only 2 "cows" -- which is a numerically unbalanced symbiosis.]
And, since the "girls" / super-predators are designed to be sentient, biological warfare weapons ... with strong ranching instincts ... this is a problem.
