Ouch! This was a loong, step by step, very cred costly journey - but I feel I arrived at a satisfying end.
This started with being somewhat enarmoured with a highly simplistic art style, cold, elegant beauty in beige and red, and there was something about ravens and roses:

which i liked but it felt a bit static and not so alive?
after learning of @Kaiart 's woodsplash lora (I love that one) I decided to take this above as starter image for his/her challenge ... a LOT of cool but not quite perfect stuff came out? some of them I published - guess makes a series to get here ...
finally, after I did the last render, I realized it reminded me a bit of anime/manga Maoyuu Maou Yuusha - it is not that great but has some endeering moments - which is how the title came to be ...
