Fossegrim

Fossegrim are fae who are found on Avalon and Buyan. They are all handsome men, and associated with natural running freshwater, especially waterfalls. They almost always carry a musical instrument, and use it to manipulate the minds and emotions of mortals, especially attractive females. Some people who are lured by a fossegrim are never heard from again, while others don't remember what happened. Others, especially those in groups may be paralyzed or driven away with supernatural fear or attack each other with magically induced rage. Bounty hunters who go to hunt fossegrim use multiple layers of hearing protection to blot out all sound. Fossegrim are stronger than most humans their size, but are usually no match for an armed, armored, trained warrior. However they can be hard to find since they can become invisible when standing in fresh water.
