Crystal Clear XL Lightning
The Realistic Anime preset is actually quite good for making dogs. I've been using the 3D Game preset for most purposes. Maybe some other things would be better with this preset as well. I generally find using the advanced settings unnecessary, but not always - they help to correct glaring errors in a picture, such as getting the wrong number of legs on a horse.
