Containment Procedures: Housed in low-risk biological enclosures, SCP-THRN-1 requires constant temperature regulation and fiber-harvesting procedures to prevent overgrowth. Instances display no overt hostility but become distressed if isolated.
When frightened, SCP-THRN-1 puffs up its fiber coat, appearing nearly twice its original size to deter potential predators. The fibers exhibit self-regenerative properties, growing back almost instantly when plucked. In Foundation testing, SCP-THRN-1’s wool was found to have mild anesthetic properties, creating a calming effect when touched.
Over time, SCP-THRN-1 develops denser fiber tufts and undergoes its first major transformation.
