Because I learned that there is a place selling sails and marine supplies in Annapolis, MD called "Bacon Sails". I wanted it all to be crispy cooked bacon, but I suppose bacon is better at catching the wind when it's still uncooked. (My apologies to sensitive vegetarians.)
