Iceland’s strike showed the world that when women withdraw their power, whole economies must rethink themselves. Across Asia, where women sustain manufacturing floors and vibrant service economies, a similar action would halt supply chains long enough to force corporations into binding emissions targets and full transparency. It would not dismantle structural injustice overnight, but—like 1975—it would redraw the boundaries of what governments believe is politically possible.
