Marjorie Miller

Marjorie Miller (Marjorie Janet Miller; 1897 – 1936) was a British artist, renowned for her unique and striking Art Nouveau paintings and drawings of women. She has been working in a variety of mediums and styles. Miller’s work is characterised by an Art Nouveau style, with elongated female forms and still-life elements. Her compositions demonstrate a Japanese influence, indicative of the Japonisme movement that impacted many European artists at the time. Her oeuvre includes illustrations for children’s stories and periodicals, and she was particularly active between 1924–1935.
