Much of Fury's personal and professional history has been redacted and marked as top level classified. What is known, through conversations with him, is that he served in Vietnam, and both Gulf Wars, along with doing several secret ops. After this he joined S.H.I.E.L.D. No nonsense and to the point, he quickly rose through the ranks, losing his right eye on a mission in Sokovia in 1996. In 2003 he became the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., and has since mellowed enough to crack the occasional joke. Fury is an expert with every type of firearm, and knows almost every type of hand to hand combat. A recently uncovered file has revealed that, two years after Vietnam, he was chosen as a test subject for one of the many attempts to recreate the super-soldier formula. It failed, but did improve his stamina, reflexes, and also slowed his body's ageing process. He is believed to now be 102yrs old.
