The concept is Escher's Sky and Water 1 design on a dress for Alice with the waterline at the waist and with the skirt background in cerulean blue.

This was inspired by

Gödel, Escher, Bach: an Eternal Golden Braid, also known as GEB, is a 1979 book by Douglas Hofstadter

as the book also has Alice and her adventures woven into it.
