Slumbering Thing

Behavior: The Slumbering Thing moves lazily, its movements slow and predictable, as if still caught in a half-dream state. However, it reacts quickly to sound or sudden movement. It lumbers after the player when it senses them, though it is sluggish, making it relatively easy to avoid or outrun if the player keeps their sleep meter under control. The creature only fully awakens if the player stays in one place for too long or makes too much noise, at which point it will begin to chase the player at a faster speed, requiring the player to run to nearby "wake zones."

Trophy for Beating the Slumbering Thing (Easy): "Waking Dream" – Awarded for defeating the Slumbering Thing without letting the sleep meter fill completely, forcing the player to stay vigilant and awake.
