The castle of Uladil was set amongst the rugged marches at the mouth of the Siril river, approaching Hyarnustar, protecting the approaches of the river up towards Nindamos and other of the several small villages scattered throughout the river lands. It fell into disuse and disrepair in the latter age of Númenor, before the ultimate downfall of the Númenoreans, but in it's time was a mighty fortress.
