This is the alternate Day 16 of the art challenge that I am involved with outside of NightCafé. This is the third week of the challenge, and it is about stepping into the unknowable. Exploring the mystical, the magical, and the otherworldly. These mystical realms are where dreams, symbols, signs, and portends, take on their own meaning within the unseen worlds that spark our imagination and inspiration.

Each prompt throughout this week will be acting as a guide through that space where creativity and spirituality intertwine.

Wow, so beautiful! Love the artistic, colored-sketch-like style! The colors are so masterfully implemented; I love the way shadow and light is rendered, and how a magical sort of blue decorates shadowed parts on the right side of the image. The various depths of pink composing the sakura blossoms are beautiful as well, in addition to the reds of the branches, her hair, and her pants. The scene captured in this image is one of such peaceful pensiveness, one of the most perfect moods for creativity.
