The Murmur

At aggression level 1, Murmur is passive but reactive. It does not chase the player but instead alters the environment depending on how much noise is made. If Elias walks too fast or makes an incorrect sound choice, Murmur moves closer, its whispers becoming clearer. The closer it gets, the harder it becomes to tell real whispers from false ones. If Elias interacts with the wrong whisper too many times, Murmur will appear directly behind him in reflections or at the edge of his vision, forcing him to remain still until it fades. The key to avoiding Murmur is careful listening and precise movement—rushing or responding carelessly will bring it closer, making the level more dangerous.
