I gave them the life they could never have. I saved them from their torment and made them live.
But the loop was never designed to sustain a reality this big. It was meant to tap into the minds of one, not of millions. So naturally, there were... glitches. People started to notice them.
The observant ones tried to puzzle the pieces together and began questioning the city. Why live was so perfect. Why the city had grown so massive. Why they would never leave it. The reality began to glitch more often the more people began questioning it.
At some stage, I had to resort to more drastic measures and... remove them. Some even in plain sight. I began to insert fear into their minds and they imagined a totalitarian state. A massive, towering city accomodating them with everything their little hearts desired, but living in fear of a police force that made you disappear when you asked too many questions.
I had build their perfect prison to save them from certain death outside.
