Baraka comes from the Tarkatan race and he was a general of Shao Kahn's army until Shao Kahn's death in Mortal Kombat 9. After Shao Kahn's death, he served Mileena and was killed at the start of the Outworld Civil War in Mortal Kombat X. A past version of Baraka would come to the present along with past versions of Kitana and Shao Kahn in Mortal Kombat 11. The past version of Baraka ends up siding with Kitana.
