What a good idea. I’ll have to put that into practice. The memory crafting that is. In the mean time, I believe I’m ready to crash into a fitful sleep.   🥰🙏. 

Insanely Detailed

Keeping touch with our memories is a form of cultivation.  To live fully, in the present, we are well served by engaging in the cosncious practice of crafting *new* memories.

I think the biggest pitfall for many people is living a life of repetition. When every day resembles the last, it’s difficult to distinguish one memory from the other and place them in a temporal framework. We need new and unusual events in our lives to create new memories that can act as signposts and benchmarks when we reflect on our past experience. I remember my life by the significant events that have occurred, not the mundane experiences that make-up everyday living. So conscious practice of crafting new memories could be a way of spurring us to do something,  anything out of the ordinary as a temporal marker for future reference.  Best make it a good one! 😊

You should always be taking pictures, if not with a camera then with your mind. Memories you capture on purpose are always more vivid than the ones you pick up by accident.
