Haha he was indeed the most annoying character in the show... stubborn as a mule and equally as shortsighted. And incredibly gullible when it came to trusting Melisandre. His plan to get to the iron throne was basically to exhasperate to death everybody who stood in his way. Eventually succeeded to exhasperate his own troops. At least that how I remember it, and my memory isn't the most reliable
