I learned today from paranormal investigator Adam Berry a little bit about the history of the Ouija board, which was invented as a parlour game, not to be a conduit to the spirit world. During the Victorian Era and later when it was inappropriate to "cozy up" to the person you were courting. Yet, if you were using the Ouija board to communicate with spirits, then it was okay! And I learned that Norman Rockwell in the 1920s created an image of a couple using a Ouija board for The Saturday Evening Post.
