After a full day of traveling through a forest that is outside of her own world, it was nighttime, and Akiranne decided to find a place to camp for the night. After starting a fire, and cooking some beef, she heard a flutter coming from behind her.

Akiranne spun around, and saw a small bird perching on a tree branch. Akiranne smiled and went back to eating. The bird then flew down and landed next to her. Akiranne gave it a small piece of raw beef, which it ate out of her hands. The bird looked up and stared at Akiranne with its bright red eyes.

"Where are you from?" Akiranne asked. But the bird then took off and disappeared from sight. But Akiranne would later know that the bird was a messenger, but for who?
