Mysterious XL v4
One of the modern hot topics concerns both gender roles and gender identity. Now, in science-fiction, one can address such matters obliquely, metaphorically, or even satirically. One way of doing so involves inventing "aliens" with nonhuman lifecycles...
And then have them socially interact with humans. This can fit many genres from slapstick comedy to action adventure to creature-features of all kith & kin.
As for "ONE OF D-GIRLS," it's not an HP Lovecraftian romcom ... but not for lack of trying š
