Owls!  

What can I possibly say about Owls that has not been beautifully expressed by others with more knowledge and first-hand intimacy with these wondrous birds?  

Only this .. when I was a kid, my father took in a Great Horned owl to help the local sanctuary which was too crowded to keep him without stress. He'd been shot in the wing with an arrow and though mended, needed time to heal.

He stayed in the stone cottage on our property for a couple of weeks before they released him back into the wild. The opportunity to be in his presence at such close proximity is an experience that radiates across my lifetime.

I shall post the archetype portrait in a little while.   

Oooh, something else to look forward to! 👏🙏🥰 It's always a gift to get to know wild critters for a while. I rescued a Galah once, looked after it overnight. It's mate was waiting for it the next day and they came back every year ever since! We have a Magpie family that do the same! Gorgeous 😄
