The Nilian took in the view in front of him. He seemed determined and calm, like someone who had been preparing a long time for his stage appearance. Ashildr noticed his breath was slow and steady; not a sign his heart was beating fast like hers.

They crouched beneath the bushy leaves of a tree and observed the patrol routes of the surveillance drones. Three drones were circling the park in a rather regular fashion. In the distance, some guards were guarding the important looking people Ashildr had spotted earlier. They were still looking about importantly, probably observing the workers in the dig site.

She was relieved that apparently, nobody had cared to increase security around the complex. Maybe Anubis had exaggerated while trying to berate and belittle her? She smirked. Got you there.

She let her gaze wander around the park. Before she could begin to wonder why the skeletal bushes she had seen before suddenly were in full leaf, Anubis urged her to move on.
