I love and can appreciate both. I enjoy the creativity of the masks, something not so common in NightCafe. And the significance of the Modesty Project appeals to me.
So I am fully supportive of the covered faces.
That said, if you shifted back and dropped the masks as a mandatory requirement for all images of women it would not upset me personally.
I guess I am sitting on the fence, without a firm recommendation as to what I think is most appropriate.
Both versions are beautiful, equally, but the closed face shows more modesty in some ways.
