Forest hero

A mysterious wooden monument depicting a legendary forest hero emerging from an enormous ancient fallen log, rendered as a highly detailed western comic-book illustration with the distinctive visual language of classic hand-drawn animated adventure art from the 1970s through the 1990s, heavy expressive ink outlines, angular graphic shapes, carefully designed shadow masses, textured brushwork, crosshatched darkness and subtle vintage halftone printing, the hero carved directly from the weathered trunk, standing with one foot on a massive exposed root and looking toward a distant storm, the figure partially unfinished so that the natural structure of the tree remains visible, rough tree bark covering one side of the body, enormous tree rings exposed across the torso and one shoulder, deep cracks running through the carved figure
